Boys and Girls of Summer is an ode to my last summer break. During that period I traveled throughout France and the East Coast of the United States. Much of this book includes friends I have known for years and friends who I met moments before the photograph was taken. These photos fall somewhere between fiction and documentary, because I like to put myself and the subject in a location and let the situation unfold. My intention was to create something that feels like yesterday, yet not lost forever, because there will always be another change in seasons.
